Illia Salei has obtained a degree in law from the Faculty of Law of Belarusian State University summa cum laude in 2013 followed by a LL.M (Master of Laws) degree from Duke University School of Law (Durham, NC, USA) with distinction in international arbitration.
Illia focuses his practice on advising and providing strategic support to multinational corporations, international financial institutions and development banks on investment related matters and has practical experience in M&A and financial services transactions including commercial lending and project financing. Illia is active in IT industry including blockchain / crypto-related issues.
International experience includes working at Swiss law boutique OHER & Associes (Geneva, Switzerland), as well as in international law firms Marks & Sokolov (Philadelphia, PA, USA) and Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr (London, UK). Illia is actively involved in coaching the team of Belarusian State University for the Willem C. Vis Moot (Vienna, Austria) as one of the most prestigious students' competitions in trade law and international arbitration.
