A statutory penalty for early termination of the contract has been introduced

Another measure has been introduced to ensure the stable functioning of the national economy under sanctions.
On September 6, 2025, Resolution No. 480 of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus "On Legal Penalties" will take effect.
Key Provisions:
Grounds for penalty recovery: early termination of credit and loan agreements,
Agreements executed prior to September 6, 2025,
Specific party composition of the agreements,
Penalty amount – 10% of the amount claimed.
