On March 4, 2026, the law firm Borovtsov & Salei held a specialized seminar for members of the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM) on the topic of substituting civil law contracts for labor relations.

Lada Maisenya, partner of the firm, presented an expert analysis of the key risks associated with the use of contracts for work and services for a fee, and provided practical recommendations for reducing the likelihood of their reclassification as labor relations.

As of January 1, 2026, individual entrepreneurs are no longer allowed to exercise the powers of the executive body of a business entity (JSC, LLC, ALC) under a civil law contract.
